: K . S . R e - [Redux]

Introduction

K. S. Re- is a stockalike redesign of the base game experience aimed at players of all experience levels, from beginner to veteran. Spaceflight is more challenging and realistic, the sandbox-style campaign offers greater freedom, and slowed progression is initially inspired by the first human rocket program (rocket vehicles and planes). New gameplay systems create an overall more comprehensive simulation, including in less conventionally-considered subdisciplines like behavioral health.

• Gamified Realism: cryogenic and hypergolic propellants, engine ignition failure, ullage, engine throttle limits, single-fuel containers, fuel switch, variable fuel ratios, weaker reaction wheels, part damage and deterioration, part failures, part grades and manufacturers, "PAL 5000" AI diagnostics, ISRU system
• Kerbal Life: life sim with physical and psychological health, social, personalities, non-player agencies with crews
• Rocket Science: new science system with more sources, science specialization with unique prerequisites, new tech and mission trees, milestones and science agencies
• Career Revival [WIP]: boat docks opening, facility progression

Installation

Recommended: Install KSP2 Redux and extract the latest version of the mod to the Redux install directory

Legacy support only is provided for the non-redux base game using the oldest v0.31 download

Setup

Exploration mode: (recommended) start a new game for the total campaign overhaul with integrated progressive tutorial.

Sandbox mode: Existing saves are supported if vessels are recovered.

Known Issues

• "flea" bug: visual glitches when placing the XS "flea" SRB in the VAB, usually resolves on launch, when attaching new parts, or using simpler designs
• drilling & repair animations not yet implemented
• some placeholder art + imperfect localizations
